We travel a lot. We're definitely not rich, but we do like to treat ourselves to a day at a nice hotel pool every now and then. Most of the places we visit are hot, and there's nothing quite like spending a few hours in a proper resort pool without having to book a room for the night.
The problem? Finding those hotels was always a pain. And when we did, too often we'd end up going through some broker site that tacked on fees, had confusing cancellation policies, or just made the whole thing more complicated than it needed to be. Sometimes brokers are unavoidable, but a lot of the time the hotel will let you book directly if you know where to look.
So we started keeping a list. This site is that list: hotels we've been able to find that openly allow day passes, have pools you can actually use, and where you can book directly with the hotel. No middlemen, no markup.
We don't make any money from pool day pass bookings. Full stop. We do earn a small commission if you end up booking an overnight stay at one of the hotels we recommend, but that never affects which hotels we list or what we say about them.
A few other things worth knowing: the hotel photos on this site are provided by the hotels themselves — they're not ours. And while we research prices and inclusions as carefully as we can, hotels change things, sometimes seasonally and sometimes overnight. Always confirm the current price and booking requirements directly with the hotel before you show up.
