Lagos or Albufeira: which is better for a pool day pass?

Where to stay in Algarve
Lagos is the most versatile base for first-time visitors. It has a genuine Portuguese old town inside medieval walls, dramatic cliff beaches at Ponta da Piedade, and a bar scene that's lively without tipping into pure resort territory. Tivoli Lagos is a solid 4-star in the centre, walking distance from the old town and marina, and it has its own pool.
If you'd rather base yourself in Albufeira, Epic Sana Algarve sits above Praia da Falésia with direct beach access and a full resort setup. For something more upscale, Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago is the benchmark for luxury in the region, with golf, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a serious spa.

Iberostar Selection Lagos Algarve sits on the Lagos waterfront with a pool deck facing the Atlantic and direct beach access below. Two pass options cover different budgets and plans.
The Pool Day Pass Sea Views (€26/adult, €14/child) gives pool and sunbed access from 10:00 to 18:00, available March through November. August availability can be limited by hotel occupancy, so booking ahead is wise.
